Shopaholics, meet your new BFF: Bloomingdale's

WASHINGTON, DC - The best news of the week, hands
down, is the fact that the Bloomingdale's in Friendship Heights is opening
September 27 at 10 a.m. I'm a longtime fan of Bloomie's, but
getting out to Tysons Corner (or to their fabulous flagship store in New
York City, for that matter) isn't always convenient. The Metro-friendly
location of the new store is a huge bonus. And if I didn't, oh, have to work
tomorrow, you can bet I'd be waiting outside those doors at 10 sharp.
According to this Washington Post article, the store is going to serve as the anchor for Wisconsin Place, which will eventually include a Whole Foods Market, luxury apartments, plus
more retail and office space. And Wisconsin place will also have something
else that all parts of the city desperately need: 850 parking spots.
