Westwood Station and Wisconsin Place Mixed Use Development Underway

Newton, Massachusetts-based New England Development has two major mixed-use developments underway. The company is developing Westwood Station on 135 acres in the Boston suburb of Westwood, Massachusetts, in a joint venture with Cabot, Cabot & Forbes and Commonfund. Westwood Station will contain 1.35 million square feet of retail, 1,000 luxury residences, 1.5 million square feet of office, lab and research and development space, and two hotels, as well as a train station.
In suburban Washington, D.C., New England Development has partnered with Archstone-Smith and Boston Properties to create Wisconsin Place, a mixed-use development in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Located along Wisconsin Avenue, the project will consist of 1.1 million square feet, including 305,000 square feet of retail (anchored by Bloomingdale's); 432 rental apartments; 290,000 square feet of office space; and a 20,500 square foot community center.
